DESCRIPTION: At 822 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm was located near Cambridge, or 14 miles northeast of Oxford, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... New Albany, Bethlehem, Cambridge, Pinedale, Etta, Thaxton, Myrtle, Shari, Hortontown, Martintown, Keel, Poolville, Esperanza, Old Myrtle, Burt, Pumpkin Center, Bald Hill, Buchannan, Springville, and Cornersville. This includes Interstate 22 in Mississipppi between mile markers 51 and 62.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
