DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana...Illinois... Wabash River at Lafayette, Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site, Montezuma, Covington, Riverton, Terre Haute, and Clinton. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Illinois...Indiana... Wabash River at Mount Carmel. .Significant flooding is expected to develop along the Wabash River due to several rounds of heavy rainfall through Sunday. Additional rainfall of 2.5 to four inches in the upper and middle Wabash and four to seven inches in the lower Wabash is expected through Sunday morning, and this is all included in today's forecasts. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Terre Haute. * WHEN...From Saturday morning until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 24.5 feet, Much of the formerly protected area behind the Honey Creek levee located in southern Vigo County is flooded. Flooding closes most local roads and affects several residences. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 PM EDT Thursday /8:30 PM CDT Thursday/ the stage was 10.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Saturday morning and continue rising to a crest of 24.7 feet Monday evening. - Flood stage is 16.5 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Condensation is the process which creates clouds, and therefore it is a crucial process in the water cycle. Condensation is the change of matter from a state of gas into a state of liquid, and it happens because water molecules release heat into the atmosphere and become organized into a more closely packed structure, what we might see as water droplets.

Water is always present in the air around us as a vapor, but it's too small for us to see. When water undergoes the process of condensation it becomes organized into visible water droplets. You've probably seen condensation happen before on the surface of a cold drink!

The final form taken by a growing cumulus cloud is the cumulonimbus cloud, which is very tall and dense. The tower of a cumulonimbus cloud can soar 23 km into the atmosphere, although most commonly they stop growing at an altitude of 6 km.

Even small cumulonimbus clouds appear very large in comparison to other cloud types. They can signal the approach of stormy weather, such as thunderstorms or blizzards.
